Bemis Adopts Bluesign Manufacturing Standard

Manufacturer of thermoplastic adhesives, coatings and seam tape products for apparel textiles, Bemis Associates has become a Bluesign system partner. Bemis utilizes the manufacturing standard to manage its environment, health and safety issues and, as part of the Bluesign network, tries to manage and solve the critical EHS issues in textile manufacturing.

The Bluesign standard creates transparency along the entire textile manufacturing chain. With a sophisticated input stream management, all input streams are assessed based on their eco-toxicological impact with a particular focus on resource productivity, consumer safety, air emission, water emission and occupational health and safety. Thus, potentially harmful substances are eliminated before production even begins.
