Columbia Sportswear Company has settled its claims against Crocs Inc. The lawsuit began when Crocs hired anindependent contractor who was still working and under contract with Columbia. Columbia claimed misappropriation of trade secrets, intentional interference of contract, and aiding and abetting the employee’s breach of loyalty to their company. The companies have settled and Columbia has dropped all claims against Crocs in exchange for monetary compensation and other considerations. However, Columbia has not settled with their case against the designer Brian O’Boyle.
