Geartribe to Launch New Markets

E-mail

Geartribe, a model that harnesses the power of group buying will be launching in new markets, Hood River and Bend, Oregon; Seattle, Washington and Summit County, Colorado starting Aug. 29. This collective buying model focuses on outdoor lifestyle interests, presenting promotions for outdoor adventures, products and services. Geartribe isn't just for the consumer, but can also benefit outdoor merchants as a sales and marketing platform to reach new customers.

The new markets in the Pacific Northwest and Colorado will allow Geartribe customers, there and in preexisting markets to access “Local Deals” in their territories. Geartribe plans to add more territories for these local markets in coming weeks such as Salt Lake City, Portland and areas in Montana, Idaho and California. For those who don't live in a participating territory, Geartribe is launching “Anywhere Deals” in September with online product promotions for subscribers nationwide that can be shipped to the consumer nationwide.

Beyond catering to the consumer, the merchant side of Geartribe helps specialty retailers harness the web and social media to promote business. With advertising and a preexisting customer base, Geartribe hopes to help specialty retailers offer deals similar to the ones larger retailers can and ultimately compete with them.

The roots of Geartribe rest in the outdoor industry, it was founded by a group of outdoor enthusiasts who attempt to remain close to and give back to the outdoor community. Geartribe plans to donate proceeds from the launch of the “Anywhere Deals” to support “Metanoia” the film based on the life and climbs of alpinist Jeff Lowe. To participate and receive deals, join Geartribe at: www.geartribe.com.
