Drift Innovation Stealth HD170 wearable cameraDrift Innovations has unveiled its new HD170 Stealth wearable camera. In response to overwhelming requests from consumers, the new Stealth has been made solid black. It also provides a new chip which allows action sports enthusiasts to create professional grade slow-motion video. The new chip allows users to shoot 25, 30, 50, or 60 fps in 720p and 25 or 30 fps in 1080p.

Other features of the camera include an integrated LCD screen, RF remote to turn the camera on and off, 170 degree field of view that captures peripheral for a more realistic perspective, 4X zoom, night mode for better performance in low light conditions and mounts for helmet and handlebars included in the box.

The new Stealth follows Drift's 2009 X170 camera, the first wearable camera with 170 degree field of view, integrated LCD screen and RF remote, and 2010's HD170, which had all the features of the X170, plus night mode for low light conditions and 1080p high definition video quality. In October 2010, Outdoor USA reported that Drift's new rechargable lithium battery nearly doubled recording times.
