W.L. Gore has collaborated with Armada Skis to revamp the Vector Series of outerwear, a line inspired by guides and athletes. The series will debut at SIA and ISPO tradeshows in 2012 and incorporates Gore-Tex fabric throughout.
Jeff Russell, Director of Product Development at Armada Skis views the new partnership as the next step for Armada to dive more deeply into soft goods while remaining technical.
The Vector Series was designed by Armada designers over a long period of close cooperation with Gore. The end product is designed to be a technically strong product but still have relevant fit and features.
The collaboration will be marketed with an advertising campaign, social media and exposure from Armada's team of athletes. Alaska Heli Skiing will also be outfitting their guides with the new Gore jackets and pants. The line will hit retail in Fall 2012 at ski specialty shops and authorized online dealers.
