Quiksilver announced that Clark Gundlach will be appointed as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Winter Sports at Quiksilver Americas. The hiring of Gundlach represents Quiksilver's new found strategy to grow the mountain and snow category of its business. Gundlach comes from Burton where he was Senior Vice President leading Sales, National Accounts, Sales Operations, Licensed Store Platforms, and Multi-Channel Distribution in North America and the Southern Hemisphere for the Burton, RED and Anon brands.

This announcement among others has signified a period of great improvement for the Quiksilver Americas region. Over the past two years the profits have nearly tripled and Quiksilver expects this growth to continue. President of Quiksilver Americas Rob Colby believes that Gundlach and his team along with athletes like Travis Rice and Torah Bright, will elevate their brand to new heights and stake their place in a new category.
