Black Diamond Equipment announces the promotion of Ryan Gellert to the newly established position of Black Diamond Equipment brand president. Peter Metcalf will remain President and CEO of Black Diamond, Inc. and Gellert will leave his current position as vice president of Black Diamond supply chain management.
Gellert, an avid backcountry snowboarder and climber of over 15 years, began working at Black Diamond Equipment in 1998. He quickly ascended the ranks to project leader and managing director of Black Diamond Asia from 2005 to 2010.
