Black Diamond Equipment announces the hiring of Brian Mecham as director of North America sales. Mecham returns to Black Diamond, where he worked as a sales representative from 1997 to 2001, having most recently been employed by Patagonia as western regional sales manager.
Mecham began as an employee/manager of the Black Diamond retail store in 1994. As director of North America sales for Black Diamond Equipment Lt. Mecham will be responsible for the North America top line revenue and managing the sales force in a manner that aligns with Black Diamond's brand image, values and culture. He will also play a key role in the launch of Black Diamond's apparel line in Fall 2013. He reports directly to Chris Grover, vice president of sales.
