Former North Face and Columbia Exec Moves to Hurley

Michael EgeckMichael Egeck, one-time president of The North Face and former general manager of Columbia has been named CEO of action sports apparel brand Hurley International. Nike owns Hurley after acquiring the brand in 2001.

According to Roger Wyett, president of Nike's affiliates, Egeck's experience will be valuable as he works with company founder Bob Hurley and the seasoned management team. Egeck, 52, was also president of VF Contemporary Coalition and VF Outdoor Action Sports Coalition where he oversaw familiar brands such as The North Face and Jansport.
