Merino sock producer Point6 has hired Paige Boucher, who will now handle the company’s public relations through the newly established PR and marketing firm, Inside Out. Boucher is a 23-year veteran of the outdoor industry, with experience in a variety of positions including PR director, marketing director, product development and founding member of Mountain Hardwear.
The company, or "tribe" as they prefer to call themselves, launched in 2008 and has been operating up until now with a minimal crew. “We’ve reached the point where we need to offer more to our retailer and consumer customers. Our retailer base has grown exponentially,” reports Betsy Seabert, international sales and marketing director and “head shepherdess” for Point6. “We are planning several events, revamping our website and expanding into social media realms. We simply need more hands on deck to make that happen.”
Another addition to the Point6 tribe is Katie Hughes, who will fill the new position of “tribe drummer,” better known as marketing coordinator. Katie’s background in social media in the real estate industry and her involvement with the local sustainability council align well with Point6’s dedication to growing a sustainable and environmentally conscientious company. She will coordinate web marketing, trade show logistics and printed collateral. A Colorado native, skier and competitive runner, Katie was first introduced to Point6 when she received a pair of running socks for Christmas in 2009.
