Director of the Nevada Department of Wildlife Kenneth E. Mayer has been appointed by Secretary of the Interior Kenneth Salazar to represent the Pacific Flyway on the North American Wetlands Conservation Council. He will also be a member of the Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act Advisory Group.
Portland, OR – Chris Elkins has been hired as Skora’s new Global Sales Director. His responsibilities in the position include domestic and international sales strategy, brand positioning, sales and marketing efforts and sales tool creation for reps and retailers.
Elkins comes to the position with almost two decades working with global consumer product brands such as Columbia Sportswear, Sorel, Mountain Hardwear and others.

Simon Bonham will be the new CEO of Hi-Tec Sports USA, replacing Brad Gebhard who came on as CEO in January 2012. With 17 years of experience with Hi-Tec, Bonham will take over the post in Portland, Oregon, coming from the company’s Amsterdam headquarters where he was Global Marketing Director. Previously, his “Inspired by Life” brand campaign helped triple global sales for the brand over the course of three years.

John Skrabo is now Vice President of Marketing for PRADCO Outdoor Brands where he will be responsible for providing leadership and management oversight across PRADCO Outdoor Brands’ marketing organization. His duties include brand management, marketing services, e-commerce functions and the strategic initiatives, budgets, business processes and people assigned within those resources. In his new position he will report to Ron Ten Berge, and will be based in the EBSCO Industries Headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. Skrabo has over 20 years of experience in the outdoor industry.
Alameda, CA – Ultra-runner Timothy Olson, 29, of Ashland, Oregon, is now the newest member of The North Face’s global athlete team. The North Face has more than 75 professional athletes across the globe, including runners, snowboarders, skiers, rock climbers and mountaineers.
Dubbed the “Employee’s Lawyer,” attorney Steven Mitchell Sack has been retained as counsel for the Eastern Outdoor Reps Association (EORA) for 2013. Specializing in employment issues for sales reps, Sack is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of SUNY at Stony Brook University and Boston College Law School. He has over 30 years of experience in the outdoor products, apparel and footwear industry and will work to assist EORA members by protecting their commissions, lines and security.
