E-mail
Western States Endurance Run Geoff Roes is the winner of the 2010 Western States Endurance Run (WS100). He finished the 100.2 mile course in 15 hours, 7 minutes, and 4 seconds, which is 29 minutes faster than the previous record set by Scott Jurek in 2004. Roes, a first time racer at Western States, was up against some of ultrarunning’s top competitors: Anton Krupicka, Hal Koerner and Kilian Jornet.

The WS200 served as the grand finale to the 2009/2010 Montrail Ultra Cup season, with rookies coming out on top.  The top four male finishers and the top female finisher, Tracey Garneau, were each racing the course for the first time.

The Ultra Cup champions were crowned at the award ceremony following the WS100 race.  Champions were awarded the Cup, individual trophies and $2,500 cash. Second place winners earn $1000 and third place $500. Congratulations to all for an amazing 09/10 Ultracup season!
