The North Face and REI Team Up to Get Kids Outdoors

The North Face has partnered with REI for an eleven-city Role Models Speaker Series geared towards giving parents the advice and inspiration they need to get outside and be active with their kids. Athlete parents from TheNorth Face will travel to select North Face and REI stores this summer to share their personal experiences, challenges, and tips with parents looking to spend more time outdoors with their children.

Runner Dean Karnazes, ski mountaineer Kit DesLauriers and snowboarder Megs Pischke are among the athletes scheduled to speak. The Role Models Speaker Series is a two-day event, with a one-hour athlete presentation on Friday and “Getting Outside with Kids” day on Saturday in a local park. The event series began in May and will continue through September.
