Tubbs has opened registration for the 2012 Tubbs Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe Series. The event is in its tenth year and has raised over 1.7 million for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Romp to Stomp is the largest snowshoe series in North America and last year's event had over 6,200 participants, raising $450,000 for breast cancer.
Tubbs will have seven event sites across the country and the romping and stomping is open to all levels and ages. These event sites will feature a goodie bag for all participants, sweepstakes, a breast cancer survivor tribute and prizes for the top fundraisers from Tubbs Snowshoes and other Romp to Stomp sponsors.
This year, in celebration of its tenth season, Tubbs is giving early registrants automatic entry to win a pair of limited edition pink Romp to Stomp snowshoes. To be eligible sign up by November 15th, early bird registration will also take $15 off of registration fees.
Tubbs encourages children to become involved with awards for top fundraising young Rompers. Also an incentive, children 6-12 receive a discounted registration fee and children 0-5 can join in for free.
Free demo snowshoes will be offered by Tubbs on a first come, first-serve basis. Participants have the option to choose from a 3k or 5k snowshoe walk or a 3k snowshoe race in the following locations:
