Youth Outdoor Legacy Fund Awards Grants to 11 Organizations for 2010

The Youth Outdoor Legacy Fund (YOLF) has announced that it will grant $145,000 to 11 organizations in 2010. The fund was created to get more kids enjoying the outdoors and to assist volunteers who work with kids’ outdoor programs. Since 2005, YOLF has awarded over $747,000 to 47 youth outdoor groups across the U.S. The organizations which will receive 2010 program year grants are Appalachian Mountain Club, Bay Area Wilderness Training, Chicago Inner City Outings, Colorado Mountain Club, Ebony Rose Ski Club, Kids in Training, Metrocenter YMCA/YBOYS, Outdoor Outreach, Passages Northwest, Rocking the Boat and Youth Conservation Corps.
