13th Annual Hike the “Hill” with the American Hiking Society

American Hiking Society announces the 13th annual Hike the Hill: Trails Advocacy Week in Washington DC from February 20-25. Trails advocates from across the nation will share experiences and advice, learn grassroots lobbying skills and strategies and advocate for promotion and protection of our national system of trails. This network of non-profit organizations, hikers and volunteers will meet with members of Congress, federal land management agencies and the Obama administration. The Hike on the National Mall event, beginning at the Lincoln Memorial at 9:00 a.m. on February 22, is free and open to everyone, including those who do not attend other Hike the Hill events.
