In a continuing effort to further it's mission of getting more kids outdoor and assisting the volunteers who run programs to increase children's involvement, the Youth Outdoor Legacy Fund (YOLF) has granted $110,000 to 8 organizations in 2011.
Aware that many excellent youth outdoor programs have weakened or failed, YOLF board is considering consolidating funding to a specific program with wide outreach. Over a period of 7 years since its establishment, YOLF has issued grants exceeding $847,000 to 65 youth outdoor groups.
