Since the Grassroots Early Show in Ogden, Utah this year the Grassroots Alliance vendor family has been growing. The expanding watersports and stand up paddle trend is reflected by the addition of BIC Sport and Northwest River Supplies (NRS).
The BIC Sport manufactures watersports products in a process that shapes and reproduces original designs with strong materials to create value-for-money products. The range is limited for ease of choice.
The brand has been in watersports for over 30 years, and is recently focusing specifically on SUP. Grassroots Alliance was also drawn by the brand's environmentally friendly manufacturing process with no gas emissions and automatic waste recycling.
NRS, founded in 1972, has grown to be an established paddle sport equipment supplier. The founder, Bill Parks, translated his experiences as a business teacher and avid watersports enthusiast into the company that has now been adopted by Grassroots.
NRS' openness to collaboration and respect for the environment resonated well with the Grassroots Alliance.
